Q&A: Co się dzieje ze snapshotami po exporcie do formatu OVF (poprzez vSphere Client)?
Odpowiedz: Dysk VMDK “parent” czyli bazowy oraz dodatkowe dyski VMDK różnicowe są łączone tak samo jak podczas procesu konsolidacji snapshotów lub podczas klonowania maszyny wirtualnej. Czyli po wyeksportowaniu pliku wirtualnej maszyny do OVF a następnie po ponownym zaimportowaniu snapszotów nie będzie. Pozostanie jednak ostatni aktualny stan maszyny.
Q&A: What is happening with snapshots after export to OVF format (by vSphere Client)
Answer: Parent VMDK file and delta VMDK file is merge that same how during consolidation process (snapshots) or cloning. After exporting VMs files to OVF and next import again to vCenter we will lost snapshots but we still have last current VM state.
